I'm a bit less concerned about some of the less expensive stuff, but I'm worried about things like my RG8620S. There were only 15 made and the only one I've ever seen for sale I bought. I have no way to prove how much I paid for it (paid cash) nor are there any transactions to show how much they sell for.
I use a company in Boston called Anderson Insurance group. I base the value on what the guitars are worth or would cost to replace, and in some cases, that's a lot of cash, they have a deductible but for under $200 a year, its worth it in case of fire or theft or anything that could happen. Check them out. I didn't have to prove any values, they might look around to verify at least in the ballpark, but for something that is rare and no longer made, I think they can appreciate that.

You should display them like this some day:
Is that the same rug he plays on on stage?

I have been really gravitating towards the Caparison lately, and I love each of my 550s, and the sabers are awesome too, it is hard to nail down less than 10 that are my favorites.

They all get played, during a normal hour session I will play at least 4 or 5 for 15 minutes each, etc, or I might just play one, whatever feels good that day.

Insurance is a must have for me.

have a few new arrivals I need to add.
High end acoustics and full hollowbodies should always stay in case (Taylor guitars' Bob Taylor) as it's too hard to control entire room. He even went to the expense to do this himself and even then he won't leave any out for long.

Though it could be done with temp and humidity controlled room, it's close to impossible for something as delicate as an acoustic lest warping and other issues ensue.

But you have solidbodies so I don't think there is any danger there. I also keep a semi-hollowbody out but my old Martin and Gibsons lived in case and never was in sunlight, not even under any regular lamp for hours. During gigs, when I was not on stage, it was in case. That being said, I have friend who has proud yellow tele from years of gigging when smoking was allowed. It was originally an Olympic White poly finish. The back of the guitar smells like underarms and there's no way to get rid of that scent. All scratches, dings, and chips are ones that were earned.

I guess until carbon graphite becomes commonplace, we will all have to deal with warping, cracking, chipping, and out of tune instruments. A 100% percent carbon graphite Jem would be the bomb and able to withstand any abuse even Steve Vai could hoist on it. The vulnerable point would be where the tremolo seats and those parts would have to be replaced occasionally.

I saw some youtube video and they were so close to each other, as if in storage, and looked more like the back of a music store than a personal collection. I think he has as many different Ibanezes as Paul Gilbert. He probably has to rotate them often.

Re: GoPro Collection Pics...just messing around

They collect dust, so you clean them occasionally. Dust doesn't really harm the guitars. UV light is the bigger concern depending on the paint.

+1 the above question.
do you clean them up regularly?

I once put all my guitars on a multiple stand, and store in a closet. but still collecting dust.
end up taking them back to where they belong... the hardcase.
