Thanks, thats what I was guessing it is. You mention they were an expensive case, any idea what it might bring these days as I don't have a use for it.

Very cool man!! It's an early to mid 80's Artist case. It was a big price tag case though. most people didn't get it.

Help IDing a Case

Wasn't sure which topic this would fall under, but here goes. I got in an rg the other day and the case that showed up wasn't the typical Ibanez case I usually see. My best guess is that it is more like a late 70's or early 80's case maybe for an artist series? Hopefully one of you Jemmers that are also into the older models can help me out. Just in case the pics don't capture it this is a brown almost leatherette type of tolex vs. the pimpled black tolex Im used to. It has 2 lockable latches one the outside with a standard middle latch. Also to note the RG fit fairly well but there was some extra room around the forearm contour area and the same area on the bottom of the guitar.
