Re: Replace pickguard on RG1451

There are differences between the RG550, RG1550 and above pickguards and those for Indonesian RG350 and similar models. The difference is typically hole configuratons. I bought a 550 pickguard for a 350 once and needed to fill the old holes on the body and drill new ones for the new pickguard. You want to be careful with this since the pickups rest in the pickguard, not on the body, and align with the strings based on how the pickguard is placed. It's not as difficult as it sounds really.
The ones on the RG1451 look like they use the same ones used on the RG1550.
Good luck!

Replace pickguard on RG1451

Hello everyone.

I'm in the late stages of aquiring a white RG1451 and thought I'd do some minor facelifts.

My question is if RG pickguards are somewhat generic, or if you have to order a model specific guard? And in that case where could this be done?

I looked around a bit and found Jeannies website with a lot of options, but they are just listed as "RG" pickguards, so I thought I'd ask first, since I didn't find any useful info elsewhere.

Thanks in advance.
