VforVendetta00 I know they sound great by themselves, but i use mine with a sonic maximizer and a peavey classic 50/50 poweramp (wish it were lighter) and 2 nice 2x12's and its just sick but the direct sound is awesome too, i usually record with it going throught the digital spdif into my soundcard and its wicked.

guitarkatana Power amps? No no no not with a pod. Pods are like direct boxes, so the PA can take care of all your amp needs. I love pods

Yes, they do. I remember reading that a while back. I love Line6.

sniperfrommars1 Steinberger had graphite neck no need to worry about the neck freeking out and you didnt have much control over action change anyway. As far as vigier I havent played em, but ive heard good and bad things about em. Didnt Ron thal used to endorse em back in the day? The concept of a zero fret isnt a bad idea. its just better in theory than real life

Tsorovan sniperfrommars: I'm no expert, I just know that a Vigier plays like mad, plus, the best example in supreme guitar technology the last couple of decades, the Steinberger, had zero frets. And Ned Steinberger is a genious so I say it's a good thing :D

sniperfrommars1 Warmoth sells those frets now. They are hard to work with as I would imagine but do it once and do it right and not have to do it again for a LONG time sounds nicer to me

Drew looks like a good idea, but i'd imagine fretwear would be a huge nuisance... I mean, it's easier to replace a nut than a fret, you know?

Then again, maybe if you could snag some of those super-hard Parker Fly frets... But can you use those in a conventional wooden neck, or are they too hard to work with?

Ok, enough randomness for one evening. back to work.

sniperfrommars1 I should have been clearer maybe. The purpose is to improve intonation and give the typical tone you would get with a fret, but basically a brass nut works better if you ask me. It doesnt really give lower or higher action. It just means that your action is going to be on sided Which is why they arent further used specifically with a floyd equipped guitar in order to pull up on the vibrato bar your gonna have to do some things to the action you normally wouldnt

Tsorovan Somewhat incorrect.

It is not tuned.

Also, according to some luthiers, a zero fret facilitates low action as it won't require as much neck bow.
