Re: Hardware swap on JS neck?

Cheers guys,

Its just a JS100 neck, it will be stripped, new fretboard and other bits and pieces... I ended up going with a chrome Edge Pro instead so matching nut was no prob

Too much trouble to go through just to upgrade a JS100....

Leave the nut as is and continue modding everything else...

Re: Hardware swap on JS neck?

I just checked and the V nut holes are the same as the pad bolt holes and just not tapped. Tap them and you can bolt it on, but it's countersunk on the top so it only has half the threads thickness. Should be enough. If it's not you'll have to figure something else out.

Fill the holes in the neck with dowel, and drill for the new top mount nut. That would be my guess.

Hardware swap on JS neck?

Ok so I have a JS100 neck that I want to use in a project.... I want to switch all hardware to Cosmo Black. The new body is routed for an Edge Pro Trem, which I have ordered from Ibanez with the correct 250mm JS Radius.

Question is, the only JS Nut thats Cosmo Black that I see on the Ibanez parts page is top mount, and the JS100 neck uses a bottom mount one..... can I just install a top mount one? is it easy to do?

Any other suggestions?
