Re: BSB Worth?

These are great guitars! they are from green to blue even when they were new in the shop.
I like them better with cosmo or black hardware on it.

Re: BSB Worth?

Depending on condition between 1600-2400. I got mine this year and it's the best condition 2nd hand guitar I've ever bought, harware had no rust whatsoever, couple of small dings on it and the stain still intact on the back of the fretboard with hardly any wear. If I ever decided to sell I wouldn't let it go for less than 2400. Awesome guitar and I think will only go up in price seeing it's the only Jem with no coat of paint.

Re: BSB Worth?

If you check out he old catalogue pics they were all this blue, I think the yellow of the basswood pulls out the pigment of the blue turning it a green colour over a long period of time.

That looks great. I didn't realize that's how they're supposed to look.

Re: BSB Worth?

I paid £700 for mine back in 2007, they never seem to go for much more than £1000 here in the uk.

Re: BSB Worth?

A little off topic, but i remember when these came out and wanting one so bad, not sure what it is about them but definitely my favourite jem bar maybe the 90th HAM

I've got the burnt blue JS but would love to add one of these to it some day, so quite selfishly I kinda hope they aren't too expensive

Re: BSB Worth?

Mine is only has one little ding on back bottom body. Great guitars and great neck profile. I could do without the monkey grip though.

Re: BSB Worth?

I paid $ 1000 for mine. From Copenhagen. You can try to fix the dents by holding a wet rag on them and press a soldier iron so the hot steam raise the wood. The blue/green dye wear off easy. So if there are some spots with no colour, you can take a green marker pen on them and then rub it with a wet rag. Mine was a bit beat upped. Now it looks this.

BSB Worth?

My friend has a BSB, which is in pretty good condition, just a few dings/scratches and it has the OHSC. What do you guys think I should pay for it? It would be perfect for me because I don't have to worry about beating it up and it looking bad because its kind of like a relic'd guitar
