Re: rg570 trem bar - how hard to find/cost?

The only reason I pointed out GC is that if I need a bar, I'll order them when I'm getting strings and other things.

Cool, a Tom Morello guitar solo cover!

I was a bit shocked when I read that you broke a trem bar... but then I remembered your youtube videos. I remember seeing some serious karate chopping action going on there! You do way more with a trem than I would ever dream of... with just an occasional "courtesy dive" or light vibrato effect.

I think it's cool... someone has to do all the crazy stuff that I can't do and test the boundaries, but I wouldn't want to buy one of your used guitars...

Wow, that's hilarious, and actually worked with the song.

I always wandered how much wear on the knife edges was caused by dive-bombing and other abuse. Do you end up having to replace bridges?

BTW, I have a used bar for $10, but it needs bushings.

I've broken an edge bar too. It was an old one from 86 that I got with an Edge I bought off the bay when I upgraded my 470.

And $50 for the bar is hilarious. I got this Edge in great conditon for $55 some years back!

I'm sparse with my trem bar use I guess.
Well yes normal abuse

The most abuse is usually on the sustainer guitar where I get out the Vai induced antics, like karate chopping, smashing, windmilling, and propulsions, rocket propelled flutters, Improvised Exposive Divebombs (also known as an IED for short), Electro- Magnetic Pull-ups (sustainer induced pulling up on the bar, for short called an EMP)

Broke?!? LOL!
I've never broken a bar in 25 years of playing. How do you break a bar?

Fair enough, but all the OP needs is a loose bar. It's out of a brand new kit and has brand new bushings on it........ That's always good enough for me.
