Re: Ibanez S420. bridge post wobble in the ZR trem, fix?

I know there isn't any original stud for ZR trem with set screw... All the anchor screws wobble if they aren't locked. Even thou FR studs wobble less for some reason but they're aren't locking. So they will wobble, but Ibanez locking studs won't =)

For a Knife trem the locking studs makes a big difference. But for the ZR perhaps it would make a bit difference but Ibanez settled it would be fine without.

So just go on with what you have

or

if you really want it to be locking...

Put the posts in a lathe and drill and tap them

easier said than done, there is no "set screw" in existence for a ZR trem. The ZR trem sits on it, not balances itself on a v-shaped knife point like the Edge trems.

reason I was worried about it was the ones that come with an original floyd rose have a tighter tolerance to them, they hardly wobble at all compared to the ibanez posts.

Ibanez S420. bridge post wobble in the ZR trem, fix?

When putting my S420 back together after its refinish I noticed that the bridge mounting posts have a slight wobble to them when they are screwed into the body's inserts. Is this a problem? the guitar seems to stay in tune fine though.
