If I had a pic I would post it right away. Maybe I can borrow a digital camera soon.
One bad thing about this forum is that it makes you addicted. Dammit, I´m sittin´ here reading instead of playing...

Congrats and welcome to the site.
How about showing us a pic of that PBK?

|sniperfrommars1||I say its a rootbeer thats been painted. Since it would be really easy to do this anyways, and isnt the value of the pbk's a little more than the rootbeers anyway. OF course he has one of two, a pbk, with a rootbeer neck or a painted rootbeer with different pickups.|

Welcome to Jemsite Mange! AND congrats on being the owner of two "new" JEMs.
And about the necks, I totally agree with Jono.

LOL - But folks should always remember that there have been a lot JEMs in the UK that have been chopped and changed by stores and distributers so it's feasible that this would be the same in other European countries.
I've seen a JEM777DY with a PBK neck, I've seen one with a VBK neck, so I don't see any reason why a PBK couldn't have had it's neck swapped for a RB neck before reaching the customer.

|Rich||Which would make it a DxPBK|

|vaijem777||I think what JS meant is that the NECK isn't a PBK neck. All PBK necks had the abalone/pearl disappearing pyamid inlays. If the headstock says "JEM", the it's most likely a RootBeer neck. It sounds like the body itself is definitely a PBK body, but the neck is not original.|

|mange||Thanx guys, but I´m pretty sure it´s a PBK, and not a Root Beer. It has white pickups and knobs, and if it has been painted then it´s a damn good paintjob, absolutely flawless. Either way, I adore it, she looks real "classy" and timeless although the 77FP is the coolest JEM ever. Anyway, it feels good to be a "part" of the family and to get feedback.|

Yeah Glen, I'll be happy to take a pic of my 90HAM neck if you want to include it on the site!

Sorry I made a mistake; I was thinking about that one :
If your neck has dot it could an be exchange with that jem neck (7rb)... or it's just an "rg" wizzard one...

Welcome to our family... I'm so pround to be one member of"jemsite"!!!
Everyone tries to help or explain here and that's so cool...
So... Just go here : http://jemsite.com/axes/model/jem7pbk.htm and you'll find that your guitar is the original one ... Your neck has not been changed...It's not the most beautiful one (for me) but it may be the genuine one...
Take some times to have a look in the entire site... it worth it (the best site I've ever seen ...)

Congrats Mange! Nothing like a JEM!
A dotted neck, I believe, was only available on the Root Beer Jem. Maybe it was a Root Beer painted black?
