The heel joint is your typical square heel.

The neck is beefy like a baseball bat too. It's not uncomfortable to play but it's no shredder neck either. For me it feels really nice for chording or play classic rock style rhythms.

NGD! Vintage Deluxe 767 Flying V

My new guitar came in today, a Hondo 767 deluxe flying V. I picked it up on the bay for $175. Yeah I know it's a Hondo & there's nothing overly special about it, I just think the it looks cool with the natural wood finish. And on another note it matches my Hondo 780 deluxe explorer.

Overall it's in good condition for the age, a few minor blemishes here and there but no major scratches, chips or dents. Neck is straight, frets don't have a whole lot of wear. The only thing wrong with it that I can see is that the electronics are crap but I planned on replaceing that and swaping out pickups anyway. I'm happy and if it sets up & plays like my 780 it ought to be a keeper.

Here's a few pics (sorry for the bad quality)

Here's a pic of the 767 V & 780 Explorer together.
