What your is your 570 and what pickups are in it?
I have the 1999 rg 570gn(Gray nickel) it has the stock pickups in it , hsh setup with the V7,S1,V8 pickups.
I was thinking that it would be easier to just rewire everything.. off to warmoth for parts!! Haha

This is the correct general diagram. There are some small variations in 570's depending on the year of the guitar.

I would suggest rewiring it with new pots, switch, caps, and wire. I've found that it's typically easier to start from a clean slate than it is to find and repair previous mistakes.

What your is your 570 and what pickups are in it?

Rg570 Faulty Wiring

So I got this Ibanez Rg570 as a gift from my sister and its got some road miles on it... kinda dinged up everywhere but still plays solid.
Except for the fact you can't plug this thing in. You can hear the notes buried under the static and volume/tone knob controls volume .


Any advice on where whoever tried wiring this thing went wrong ? Or maybe a wiring diagram I can work off of to fix this thing ?
