Tardis How could I tell if they are the rare ones? I did replace the bridge pickup back in the day...

If those pickups are the Ibanez V5 pickups DONT TOUCH THEM. They are rare pups, only made pre-87 IIRC. There's a chance they may be Super 80s or Super 70s as well. DONT TOUCH THEM EITHER.

Help/advice with DT-155

Hey everyone,

I have a DT-155 that I could use some help/advice. I'm trying to decide whether I want to restore it or move on and get something new. Here's the deal:

Got the guitar in the mid-80's, was my first real guitar. Has some cosmetic issues that I would like to address (gouge in neck and body) and would like to replace the pickups.

At a minimum I know it will need new frets, so not sure if that coupled with the damage would necessitate just buying a new neck

I'm trying to determine what would need to be done and at what cost. Also not sure where to go for parts (if I need to replace the neck, for example).

Will post pictures in a few so you can see the gouges I'm talking about
