The pictures in first post are in a folder in the same folder as the one you posted.

check htaccess from a parent folder. definitely being blocked.

also CTRL+F5 to refresh the page and force new images will yield the X

getting an X (and it stays an X until it's in your cache). Try "in private" browsing.

I recommend you check the hotlink settings for that folder.

public_html is your site root. You can delete or just rename all the .htaccess everywhere except the one in pubic_html.

I host things externally on Flickr for the most part to avoid putting stress on our servers for our articles but the pics on the store are all hosted on the site.

Technically because it is under public_html, but it is a main folder, like in my pc it is a root folder under ibanezrules only.

I'll save off a copy and experiment a little in this thread just to make sure, but I'm pretty sure you're right. These I never added and somehow appeared in these folders thru all the different hosts I've had over the years.

Images is a subfolder right? Delete all the .htaccess files in all subfolder in images for starters.
