Re: Locking studs on new Jem 7v’s

I search for this problem but couldn't find any such good solution so I not recommend you any irrelevant solutions but I am looking and try to have any solution.

Tinman Shall answer my own question for anyone googling this in future. Bit the bullet and removed bridge and studs to check. They are indeed locking studs, I think it’s just with the small 1.5mm key I wasn’t getting much feedback to confirm it was engaged.

Locking studs on new Jem 7v’s

Hoping someone can clarify. I know I could potentially remove the bridge then remove the studs for a look, but I’ve just spent ages setting the thing up after increasing string gauge.

Do the newer 7vs come with locking studs? Mine is a 2019 model. The studs freely move with a 4mm key. I can’t get a 1.5mm (or 2mm) key to engage in anything at the bottom of the studs. No spare grub screws came in the case. Mabye they’ve moved to non-locking studs for the prestige Jems too?
