Bob Dylan sells music to UMPG
In music news today:

Bob Dylan sold his music catalog of 600+ songs to Universal Music Publishing Group for an undisclosed amount of money that The New York Times thinks is around $300 million dollars.

I wonder if this will become more common? Publishing companies buying out all the rights to the artist’s music? I’m thinking more about the artists they already represent and pay some amount in royalties to since most musicians do not completely own their publishing.
