It's funny how a lot of us seem to notice the same things. ![]() |

I tried one of these sitars, with the chromatic 13 strings, and it actually was very cool! The pickups lack any real warmth compared to the Jerry Jones stuff, but the thing played great, and an EQ took care of the tones. The only thing I noticed out of the box was the neck was kinda backset a bit harshly. But it was an easy fix... On a similar subject, I saw some special brass saddles (kinda flat profile) for traditional tele bridge that were supposed to do the buzzy sitar thing. Might be a cool option as well. Greg |

I've never seen or played one, but I saw them in Musician's Friend as well. I don't know about the quality of them, but I REALLY want one ![]() ![]() |

New Rogue 'coral sitars' I was looking through Musicians Friend today and see that Rouge has a couple sitar models (one more traditional with 2 pickups and 13 sympathetic strings (or maybe it was 15?) and the other was just a normal 6 string with a bridge pickup). Has anyone ever seen/played one of these and how do you think they are? The highest one is only about $350, so I was thinking about getting it. For being a cheap brand, Rouge puts out a lot of cool stuff. ![]() |
