After a bit of zooming and messing with brightness and contrast...I still have no idea. Better answer: yes, some have a bubinga stripe. |

Can some RG7620's have the bubinga stripe? I see an Ebay Ibanez 7 that isnt specified in model but has the stripe. It doesn't show the pup tags either. It's a steal right now too ($155!!!!) with a few 5 hours left. I figure I can make and outside deal with the fella. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=33043 |

The Reaper | i've decided on an RG 7620 (or maybe a UV if someone wants to get rid of one for real cheap :P )However, people say the finish sucks, which i have noticed on the one I tested at guitar center. How can I combat this? |

Yeah, even if you're not totally sold on the 7 idea, a 7620 is probably the best price/performance winner anywhere in the guitar market right now. Drop another $120 on a good set of pickups and spend some time tweaking it to your preferences, and for sub-$450 you can have a totally pro-quality guitar, possibly even cased. That's a better deal than even the '02 closeouts with the introduction of the new trem were. grab it now, you won't be dissapointed. -D |

Dylan7620 | definetly, i tried both out when i was buying, i got the 7620, now over a year later i wouldnt wanna touch a 7420 with a 10 foot pole. you can probly pick one up in fairly good condition for under 300 nowadays. and if i had 300 to spend on any guitar it would be a 7620 no doubt. |

The difference is in the trem, any 7620 will the have the Lo Pro Edge 7 bridge on it...the 7420 has the cheaper stamped version. Can't comment from personal experience, but most claim it to be far inferior. The 7620 isn't made anymore, used they go pretty cheap. The 1527 referred above is its kissing cousin. If I were you, I would buy a used 7620, no question about it. |

7420 or 7620? I am planning on purchasing my first seven string and I don't know which one is better. I played a 7620 and liked it but I want to know if a 7420 is worth a look. |
