The Eristic | It'd be great to have for some of the piano pieces I'm transcribing. Hope it's not fugly &/or a sig model. |

i would think it would be a keeper just as its likely if its ever made available to the GP its not likely to be a big seller and would be very small run. ![]() |

Getthis | if they made an 8-string that was affordable, I'd buy one. I've always prefered 7-strings guitars, and 5 and 6-string basses over playing a 6 string guitar..... |

an M-8 logo would be funny, that would mean Ibanez loves sick looking creations LOL! gah, uniqueness is in the hands, and anyways, I doubt so much people will get to it so... Some people in my area still find it bizarre and original that I play my 2027x most of the time. |

I've heard for a while that Mårten and Fredrick from Meshuggah were getting a couple of them since they weren't quite totally happy with their Nevborns. Should be interesting if infact the 8 string is what is coming from Ibanez. I'd really be curious to see how it sells. For that matter, the cost too. Personally, I think there would be a small but relatively decent sized market for them to do a limited run. Hopefully it will be with "Prestige attention to detail". Such as the K-7. As long as they don't put an M-8 logo on the 12th fret. ![]() I don't see it lasting very long though. And personally, for me, a production model 8 string by a company such as Ibanez(or any large company for that matter) will totally take the "unique-ness" away from the instrument IMHO. |

Oh don't get me wrong the first one will be a fixed bridge, but regular scale,Possibly tho,and i've been thinking thos over for a little while, tune the whole thing *UP* to F ? should increase a little tension The lo-pro 8 or edge for that matter is an idea i'm going to test before routing a cavity in the hardtail With me ? and your going to use lo pro edge? i would have thought the only way to get away with intonation, strip flop and all would be with a fixed bridge and possibly a baritone neck? my hat is well and truly doft. ![]() |

I thought it through for some time and decided on low, think it'll be easier in the long run,and i was worried about string gauge for a high A Rob |
