Octavio My 96' Fender Richie Sambora USA (with PAFPro in the bridge, and Floyd Rose) + Tube Screamer TS-9 + Half Stack Fender Tone Master (cranked to the limit).

The sad story... that wasn`t my amp

darren wilson Dean Evo Special 7 with Duncan JB-7 and '59-7 straight into a Mesa Single Rectifier Solo head, driving a 2x12 Rectifier cabinet.

The cleans had a great "BLANG" to them, with great depth and clarity. The distorted channel was a staggering wall of sound.

I've come very close with my GT-6 and power amp... the Boss models actually behave very much like the real thing in terms of gain structures, so playing the real thing was very informative.

That said, i've really started getting into the Matchless model in the GT-6. It's very responsive to touch and rolling back the volume on the guitar to clean things up. I'd love to try the real thing some time.

EnigmaUV7 I have been getting some extremely good tones lately with my stock Charvel 475 with active electronics through a Peavy Stereo Chorus 212 with a brand new Boss DD20 Giga Delay, I am so addicted to both the Standard and Warp settings on the Boss, it gives about 15 delay choices and infinite tweaking ability. Also my Tele through the same setup gives an ear drum piercing lead tone, I love this amp, even though it is very powerful (130 watts x 2) I think of it as a practice/studio amp compared to my JCM800, but the Peavy rocks bigtime! I get all the distortion I want by a Gain of about 6, no need for overdrive pedals with this amp.

Robotechnology RG3120DR into a signal path consisting of: Mesa Boogie Triaxis-Rocktron Xpression-Carvin FET450-(2) Carvin 2X12 Sealed Cabinets. 3 of my other guitars also sound EXCELLENT this way too (Ibanez PGM, Ibanez JEM7V, Jackson DR7). I didn't try all of my guitars though but, they probably all do too

hobz Perfect steup-Ibanez RG0177XL, E-H Hot tubes Distortion, roland multi F-X, into a mesa/boogie half stack was the best tone I have ever experienced. I don't have this setup, only the guitar, but I will some day.

ukwan 1970's Les Paul Deluxe w/ EMG 81/85
Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah
Peavey 5150II + Marshall 4x12

I've also had some great tones with this setup:
MIJ 80's Fender Strat w/ DiMarzio Paf Pro's

Laney LC15R

^^ that was my setup a few years ago and dispite how much money I spend I cant get that tone again it was beautiful..

manfromplanetX my 1st holy grail was a preamp overdriven Silvertone 1430 tube amp thru 2x12 peavey cab, for about 15 minutes.... I still have it and havent fixed it... the elusive 'glass' sound
2nd was sunn model T with a DS-1 and 8 bit digitech echo thru a square 4x12 ...until that head went south
I have come to rest on a 5150 w/ new tubes and a BBE 362 and some Behringer Multiprocessors....period it is not going to get better or consistent than that
all these at one time or another pushed by a dimarzio SD that i have had since 79 and has been in at least 7 diff guitars
