Speaking only for myself, my picking hand will periodically bump into the volume knob and change the setting. This configuration solves the problem.

Wouldn't it be easier to just pick up a used TC-825? No matching headstock, but...gotta be cheaper than a custom job.
Not with a REAL bigsby and nice pickups!

It's a natural location the way your hand falls off the bridge.

And I don't do volume swells anyway. So what's the point? I guess when I start performing "Cathedral" I'll have to get a new guitar.

Regardless, it's easy to do volume swells. It's no harder than on a strat.

Allen Garrow Man that is beautiful. I love it! I love the "simplicity" of it. That is something I myself have been entertaining for years,,, a 7 string and a 6 string in naked wood. I would put colored pickups on mine, Purple bridge, Red single and blue neck.
Congrats on the awesome 7 Dude! Color is awesome and Neons are even better,,, but sometimes you just need to have guitar that is just simple yet serious. You nailed it on the head!

Hey if you ever want to get rid of that thing,,, I'll give you a downhill bike for it!

That guitar is absolutely beautiful. It's without a doubt one of the best that I've ever seen. The veneer is amazing, and I love the binding and unobtrusive volume control. It's perfect!
Thanx go to Mr. gilbert for the control layout
