MicJustMic I broke a trem in the same place years ago, if the knife isn't moving now I'd bet eventually it will. It's not really secured by anything other than the pressure of the slot it's in and some of the support has been taken away.

Can you post a pic?

When mine broke it took the entire knife with it, so it was scrap.

If it works, it works, but I wouldn't trust it to gig with, you just never know when it will let go totally.

Worrying development re: my RG570's Edge trem

The side bit on the treble side which extends slightly beyond where the knife edge is (which is about 7mm long) has snapped off. There seems to be a little insert around halfway down the bit in question which is still in place, so the piece that's come off isn't moving about much.

I could try taking the trem off and supergluing it back together, I suppose, but I'm slightly worried - though it doesn't look like this problem hinders the trem's operation in any way (there's no sideways movement in it as a result, and the knife edges are still tight on the posts) I'm not sure if it does and I haven't realised yet. Has anyone else experienced this problem? What should I do, if anything?
