Aw, well now I feel bad blaming you. Let's share the blame. Our combined powers of getting guitars discontinued could destroy the world!

Yup my fault entirely

Ah-ha! So it's your fault! They find out what you like and stop making it. Actually that seems to be my problem too. I recently played a Peavey EVH Wolfgang, with the birdseye maple neck and fell in love with it. Come to find out EVH has left peavey for Charvel and they'll probably stop making those guitars now too! :\ couldn't afford to buy it anyway, so lol
Let's hope Ibanez comes out with something cool at NAMM this winter.

Ah that's too bad. I like the SCA's better than the SZ's, and S's. The body is a thinner and not as heavy as a SZ's but it's thicker than an S.
*sigh* I guess it's all right though. I'll just have to take extra good care of my SCA.
I want an RG anyway. lol I'm thinking about picking up a RG321 and slapping some Dimarzio's in there -- just using it as a cheap second guitar.

|darren wilson||I'm guessing they're being outsold by the SZ line, which is about as far from a true "S" model as you can get. About the only thing the SZ has in common with the S is that it's a double-cutaway mahogany body.|

So looks like the SCA420 and the SCA220 are beign discontinued. Even though the SCA220 is still listed on the US Ibanez site, Muscian's Friend has is listed as a "product discontinued".
Anybody have the scoop on why they are dumping this line? I own an SCA220 and I love it. Although... if they make a prestige hardtail RG I will forgive them. And buy it!
