Re: Where did RG8670 go?

No, I had/have someone who's kicking around buying it from me. It didn't go out today, so Monday it'll have an appointment with Fedex.

There's no RG8670TVs left. I've experiment with Itchyscratchy and I'm done. So, I'm gonna hold on to my coin for a little while and I think I'm gonna have my custom done.

I'm considering seriously sending mine back. It has a crack/hole in the case 3/4" long, a 3/4-1" scratch on the headstock and two dimples on the body, needs a setup and it has frets that you can catch strings on because they overhang (enough) the fretboard.

Anyone wanna match what I paid before I send it back to Japan?

Re: Where did RG8670 go?

I was thinking of putting 10's on it because the B string feels like a 9 also, feels like a rubber band-**** maybe it is

Saddle shim to raise it at the bridge. Nut shim to raise the nut.

Re: Where did RG8670 go?

I am trying to figure out how to raise the b string. Is it possible to adjust individual string height? I looked in the manual and the action adjustment section says you can only adjust the whole thing up or down not the individual strings. I am starting to hate this trem GRRRR. any insight?

Re: Where did RG8670 go?

Ok it's here. the nut screw also came off of mine but I can't see any damage. Is the area where the neck bolts are in the back have some white crud by the bolts? The set-up is a joke, instead of mine being high it is so low that the b string buzzes like crazy. But it really is a beatiful guitar and hopefully when set up correctly I will like it.

The neck moved within its socket. It was a minimal amount, but it moved (and creaked when it did).

All the bolts on mine sit tight. SO tight actually that I have trouble opening the control cavity...

That Sucks

I think the cusroms fee probably has to do with the beverly hills post office-they f*ck you over left and right around here because they think everyone is made of money. Let me know how it turns out, BTW what caused you to tighten the neck bolts?

Re: Where did RG8670 go?

Fred, I've emailed Ishi. I'm not home, so I can't check it. I'm having a little buyers remorse I think. No, I didn't have to pay a customs fee. I checked the tracking website, and it looked like my guitar was at JFK. Next thing I know, my 3 year old tells me someone is backing in the driveway), and I find the (little) mail lady lugging my guitar to the house.

Rob, at this point I think you've seen it ALL! ;-) The damage is really minimal, you can't even see it unless you LOOK. But my attitude is if anybody is going to damage my guitars, it's going to be me!

Flanker, why do they leave them loose? Well, the only answer I can give is that they're doing the job with half-arsing the job. I had to tighten the neck bolts! The set-up this thing needs is beyond me, so I'm going to have to bring it somewhere before I can play it with any confidence. I still can't get the trem angle right...

Re: Where did RG8670 go?

I missed my F*cking delivery!!! Did you have to pay 140.00 COD customs fee? That's b*ll****, did you call Ishi or are you going to live with it?

The mailman in my area is an old disgruntled a-hole so he probably ran it over for me with his mail truck
