Re: Wizard Question the wizard, wizard 2, and prestige wizard are all slightly different experiences. wizard 2 is 19mm thickness at the nut, prestige is 18mm, and original wizard is 17mm. hard to believe one millimeter can be so apparent. then there's the difference in fretboard radius: wizard 2 is 400mm compared to wizard's 430mm, and therefore flatter, radius. |

yep thats why there are so many collectors and site dedicated to earlier s series and rg guitars. I know that if i ever get a substantial amount of money i am going to buy all the older model rgs and s series guitars i can find .

Re: Wizard Question I belive the original wizard is dead as jkahrs said . The prestige wizard is as close as you can get on the newer models . I belive that the jem 7dbk had a more wizard like profile . but yes the original wizards kick nuts and it is a shame that they are no longer in exact production . |

Re: Wizard Question Nope, The original Wizard profile is gone. Ibanez changed the dimensions. The 05' Prestige neck is 1mm thicker (18mm) at the first fret, and 2mm wider (58mm) at the last fret. The radius is unchanged at 430mm. The 05' necks also have the volute which bothers some people, but not others. --Jason |

Wizard Question Just got a 1999 RG570 with a Super Wizard. Friggin Awesome neck. Action is second to none. Is the new Prestiege necks the same dimentions as the wizard? |
