Try using www.putfile.com for hosting pics. They're limited to 800 pix wide but that's OK.

that says more about the inflated prices of guitars in australia than the value of the guitar. heck, i sold an rg320 for $660 down there recently!

back on topic, i'm inclined to think that what you paid for it is a realistic estimate of what you'd get in selling it. you might do a bit better than that on the 'bay with a well written ad, hi-res pics, etc. in it's favour: condition, flame top (gravure?) and maple fingerboard. on the flipside: korean, trs (?) trem, no-name pickups.

Yeah man thats definatly a steal. i assume you mean the fretboard is maple ? I saw an 1995 Rg470 with quilted top and maple fretboard go for about $350 USD a couple of months ago at my local guitar shop. and believe me this thing was a POS. There was green mold and corrosion growing in the bridge and around other parts !

is this rare?

about 6 months ago, i bought a 1994(i think) rg470, flame top with a maple neck, off p-bay as a backup for my 550 at the price of $280 USD. i intended on changing the pu's but never got around to it and have played the guitar for probably 1/2 hour.

well, i don't need it anymore and was wondering if you guys could give me an idea of what $ i could probably get for it. i don't see many 470's with a flame top and/or a maple neck. so was $280 fair, a steal, a rip off? its in beautiful condition minus one thing - there is pitting where some rest their palm on the trem. nothing horrible, but you can see it in the pics (that i'll eventually get up here!)

this is all the info i've got. you might be able to find out more from the sn# or if you are a true ibanez junkie i'd be selling the guitar with a hardshell case. whats a fair price? thanks guys (and gals)
