Re: Ibanez Counterfeit Warning!!!

Like I say, no problem with a custom. Just if its an RG neck, why insist its a Jem?

Calm down, don't all take it to heart so much.

Group hug anyone?

Re: Ibanez Counterfeit Warning!!!

yeah i dig the danijem custom 'ibanezes' too. in fact, i'm having a few built of my own. my situation (as is dani's from what i can determine) is that i have a very specific vision of what i want in a guitar. ibanez has met these requirements in several models, but i still want things that ibanez cannot provide. does ibanez make a model out of paduak or walnut? an rg made of swamp ash? if they did, there would be no need for me to have these guitars built, but unfortunately they don't. so having it custom built is really the only option in this situation.

as for putting the ibanez label on the headstock, i personally don't care as long as the guitar isn't being sold as a real ibanez. and since dani isn't planning on selling the guitar, i don't see why he's being harrassed.

Hey do what you want, but Liggy, not many people class a pickup change as a modification as it isn't permanant. Just like chaging strings or valves in an amp. It's like hey this one sounds better.

Just carry on and build whatever you want, you'll continue getting the support from most of the members here. Whether you logo it up or not

Apenas continúe y construya lo que usted desea, usted continuará consiguiendo la ayuda de la mayoría de los miembros aquí. Si usted insignia él para arriba o no

It sounds as though its working!!!!

He has said in other posts that he owns a couple of Ibanez's with modifications, a JemBFP with blue EVO's and a RG with white pups.
The guitars are modded and are NOW not 'all original' Ibanez (theoretically)
Therefore his arguments are either hypocritical and uncalled for or hes taking the piss.

Someone is missing the point. A guitar with mods is a guitar with mods, the Jem with Evos is still a Jem, the RG with DiMarzio's is still an RG.

But a guitar that was never a Jem just isn't a Jem even if a Jem decal has been put on it and the guitar is made to look like it, it's fake. Where as mine are original Jems, Jems from the Ibanez factory.

- Ibanez RGR580.
- Ibanez RG770DX.

apparently, there are people who take offence if i build my own jem. I dont understand it.

regards.

Many people do it Dani. After all, you are using Ibanez parts. Just do what you want But Don't try to SELL her as a JEM

I have a BFP too. It's my fav Jem

There aren't enough real models to go around and not everyone can afford a real one. I'd much rather see a fake than none at all, ya know?
It's the same with Jems only most people probably pay more than a real jem to get a custom and it probably even plays better than the real thing. I'd much rather see someone playing a one off custom jem than see them playing something else!

Re: Ibanez Counterfeit Warning!!!

Yea canny beat a 'scort.

But yea, for a custom Ibanez, I'd buy a neck with a black headstock and leave it like that.

I quite like my escorts too, got a beauty outside, apart from the dents where someone hit it when I was parked

But if the headstock as been repainted (for whatever reason), then a logo will need to be applied. Yet people slate these sellers for reproducing the logos.
