+1.

Looks very sexy, and more that swirled with those red pups.

Serratus, I gotta say, I don't really like swirls, but you're good at what you do, mate. Great work!

Congrats on the new shop, and the site sponsorship, and everything! I think it's a great move considering the obvious high quality of your work!

Cheers!

Beautiful Lava Rich! The yellow bell knobs will go much better for sure.

Wow, how'd I miss this thread?

The color combination isn't exactly my cup of tee but the swirl itself is amazing. I also like that you took the time to key the neck inlays into the overall color scheme of the guitar. Awesome work!

Just to answer some questions, Tubar„o you're right, it's red, orange, yellow and a small amount of black. I always think it's great with swirls that there's so much diverstiy in colour; in some bits the colours have mixed a bit making new shades, and in others the colours are very clearly seperate from each other. It makes a finish that you can keep looking at for ages and keep seeing new colours and patterns, etc.
And I chose Padauk because I had read somewhere that it's similar to mahogany with a maple cap; ie a bit brighter than mahogany on it's own, which sounded like a nice idea. I gigged it last week and it sounds great, especially the in-between sounds with the pickups tapped - they have so much more character than say, an RG7620. I think I'm gonna really like the Blaze custom.
Cheers for now, thanks for all the comments everyone.
