Re: FAke 470 neck?

Interesting, I've got a 1994 RG470 neck and it's a Korean Cort factory one. didn't know they were making them out of a couple factories.

Re: FAke 470 neck?

Were Samick even contracted to make Ibanez guitars then? I don't think they were, just Cort.

Re: FAke 470 neck?

Looks like a stock '94 korean samick made neck to me.
Those model number stickers were not uncommon, at least on early '90s japanese ones.

Yeah something doesn't look quite right with that neck.

Re: FAke 470 neck?

Both stamps look way off to me. That serial number makes no sense whatsoever, not to mention he contradicts the MIK sticker in the buyer questions by saying it's made in Taiwan. That's definitely questionable right there. The wood of the neck and fretboard look weird, as well.

Re: FAke 470 neck?

The stamp looks weird on the back of the headstock. Also I've never seen a sticker with the model number on behind the lock nut. The seller claims he bought it in 1992, yet the AANJ wasn't on the RG's until 1994, plus the 1992 470 was Japan-built.

Re: FAke 470 neck?

Dunno. Looks okat nothing obvious, must admit though my knowledge of Korean necks is a bit limited

FAke 470 neck?

Bay item number: 190082999545

What the heck? This seems like a strange neck. Thoughts?
