You mean the V-Blade? Which damn thing?

If Dean really is threatening a lawsuit over this guitar, the only reason I can think of are those little "horns" or notches on the inside edges of the V shape. Similar to a Dean V but not exactly.

Oh, yeah...I should've known better.
Still, the overhead for ESP must be crazy considering all their artist endorsements.

ESP seems like vultures, just circling and waiting to sign anyone. Where the hell do they get all the money from?

esp (which is japanese like ibanez) copied the RR shape when they made the esp SV and japanese alexi laiho signature, and they havent been taken to court by jackson yet.

and if jackson were going to take one of the two to court, they would take esp since they are stealing alot of their customers with their RR "copies". thats also why jackson tried to retaliate by releasing a 24 fret, 1xhum RR at NAMM.

Now that Jackson is owned by Fender anything is possible... Fender is so active is "preserving" their brands they actually have someone who watches **** who sends a form letter threatening to sue to people who sell fake and REAL Fender decals on e*@*).

I think Jackson can't take ESP to court for some reason having to do with the ESP copies only being sold in Japan or something? I'm probably wrong.

Re: another lawsuit for ibanez? maybe?

I think the only major body shape lawsuit was the PRS singlecut looking to much like the LP- more so than every other LP copy apparently- . I don't think jackson would care enough about the Xiphous to take legal action, but then again I wouldn't surprised either.

It could just be that they only made a limited amount in case they didn't sell too well.

another lawsuit for ibanez? maybe?

I'm probably silly for even asking this, but on the Ibanez site, on the X series section they just recently marked the VBT700 Limited Production Model. Which is kinda strange, because they had one in Namm last year and there is at least one artist endorser. It looks like a perfectly good candidate for a high production model, as the Xiphos. It would be a good move for Ibanez to add radical shaped guitars to thier line. Maybe, just maybe, they got in trouble with the body shape?

Again, this is probably just a stupid, wild guess thats probably wrong.....or is it?
