Don't use lemon oil, it's not so good because it's acidic. Use Fret Doctor.

I bought some hemp oil frett board conditioner not long ago , and upon using it i noticed it smelled just like,and felt like diluted murphys oil soap i wonder if its basicly the same. any thoughts?

oils should tell you what woods not to use it on.

Hi!

I also have a 8470... Don't be afraid, the lemon oil (I use it too) should not color the maple! Put it on a towel not on the fretboard directly and wipe it off! it should be OK... I used it for oiled maple necks and it was perfect!

J-Custom maple binding and lemon oil

I intend to oil the fretboard of my RG 8470 using lemon oil.

I am afraid the oil could stain the natural maple binding.

So any advice or comments will be welcome.
