My only problem with Jackson Soloist series guitars is the vol knob placement. ![]() The only issue I had with the Soloists was the strings are too close to the edge of the fretboard and I am not huge on the shark fin inlays, although they do use real pearl rather than plastic, which does look nicer. |

I have been wanting a USA Jackson SL-1 in a bad way for about 3yrs until now. The 3020 is closer to the SL-2 but now I don't have GAS for a Soloist anymore, this axe IS my Soloist. I am not having GAS pains for the RGT320q anymore either. I'm very impressed at the variety of tones you get with the two Paf pups and the 5-way switch. I really didn't expect to get such a variety of tones. After I pick up another Explorer (white, ebony fretboard) the only guitar I'm interested in from Ibanez right now (realisticly interested) would be a PGM. That 3020 is a very sweet guitar. I'm sure that thing is way up in the ranks in your arsenal. You're right, the 3020 has the potential for becoming my #1 stage/studio guitar. It has tone, feel and looks beautiful. I'm actually going thru my arsenal and will be trimming back a few axes now that the 3020 has joined the family, it really takes the place quite a few axes I own. |
