Yeah though, I think you're right, Jimbo. These necks don't feel bad at all anyway, despite the lack of luxury fret finishing. I've got no sharp edges and the neck feels as good as any of the older RG's I've had.

The excuse being that it's a TRUE replica, and therefore the "Prestige" quality finishing wasn't an issue Time saving, cost cutting. They certainly arent dummies

For me, no. I haven't played anything else for 20 years. I was instantly comfortable with the 20th neck. They do need to be set up, and I guess the one you played probably wasn't set up with your desired action height.

off the topic of the thread...but i was just wondering...does every RG 20th come with that "Ibanez: The Untold Story" book? Cuz I didn't get one with mine...

It's sad to see one of the 20th's parted out already =( I wonder how hard it will be to find a neck to fit that body that's for sale?

The setup was low, i play a lowend Ibanez GRG, prolly just needs some getting used to.

If you are used to playing a Gibson or Fender tree trunk, maybe, but they are just like most Ibanez, thin and fast with a fairly flat fretboard only more so... It has alot to do with the setup.

Do these necks take some time getting used to? For some reason when i played it, i had somewhat a difficult time playing, there may have been many factors, but whats your opinion?

Anyone else catch how the neck pocket route is different from the originals? Makes me wonder if the necks have the fingerboard overhang. --Jason
