Re: RBM-1 Voyager

RCB...I'm loving your modded RBM. I'm not crazy about the stock pups either.
The power boost helps though....just been playing with it on with the bridge
pup. Kotornut,I didn't see where you were negative.....but I did notice you
edited your!! Grendel,it does play really, really nicely. I'll probably
swap the pups out at some point.....EMGs maybe. Other than that I'm ok
with the dings and stuff.......never really bothered me too much.

Re: RBM-1 Voyager

I had blue one (but the one with gold hardware) , a custom made necktrhough one, and a black one that was my first quality guitar. I still have the black one, but as time went by and I started to buy and custom order some beautifull guitar, the black one just looked kind of dull.

I couldn't part ways with it, so I had customized to look on par with the rest:

This pics is older (before I swaped the single coils)

BTW, I never liked the sound it had, but after the pick up change it turned into the best sounding guitar I have (It has a Megadrive on the bridge, a fender american standard on the middle and a Seymour Duncan hot rails on the neck).

Now its a keeper.

Voyagers RULE!!! Congrats on your new guitar!!!

If I were you, I would customize the hell out of that guitar.... well, actually I already did

Re: RBM-1 Voyager

I had one that I put EMGs in (85, SA,SA) and switched the mini toggle to a tone knob. It rocked- I still miss it!

Re: RBM-1 Voyager

The preamp is activated by pulling the lower knob.

Re: RBM-1 Voyager

Not supposed to have a tone knob at all, but a nice looking guitar none the less. Where is the onboard preamp?

Re: RBM-1 Voyager

I like it! however, it looks a bit familiar though. Hmmm.

Beautiful, but why do you need 3 of them, its people like you that take all the worlds guitars and hides them from people like me

RBM-1 Voyager

Just got this one in today....a 91 RBM-1. I had an RBM-10 last year and
this one is indeed much nicer. Couple of dings here and there, but nothing
too bad. It also has an onboard preamp too.....nice. The original owner
moved the volume and tone knobs and input jack. Also he appeared to
be in the process of moving the strap buttons as well....I gotta put some
on there. Overall I'm very pleased.....I got a good deal on this one from a
friend. Not bad IMO for $470 shipped.
