Nobody remembers the Universe 2000 Saber? It proves that mixing styles is allowed.

I've posted this one before. It's actually a 760. I sold it awhile back. The guy who had it before hand drew the logo on the headstock with a silver marker....never got around to completely removing the residue. The mod was done really well. I've had a few RBM's and this one....aside from being basswood and not mahogany,is a very close facsimile. In fact,I liked this one as much,if not better than my actual Voyagers.

You could just do the cutout and have an RBM"ish" guitar. With 24 frets! You could do the cutout and a grip and really confuse people.

Theres a (player condition) RBM available right now "some auction site" for $500. Darn it. I have to pay my taxes and don't have the extra cash right now!!!

Re: Could an RG be made into an RBM?

I have 3 Rg's and a Reb Beach guitar. The Reb Beach is not as similar to an RG as most people think. the body is smaller and thinner and has a different shape.

Considering how much cutting is required, it practically looks like the amount of work different between trying to modify a guitar to look like that and just using a body blank isn't going to be that different in the long run.

rbms are 22 fretters with deeper horn cuts. they do look similar, but are not the same type of guitar. even the aanj is different.

To my eye apart from the obvious tail cut out the horns look different.I reckon they're pretty similar though.
