Maybe plastic ones would be the best bet. At least you could cut and file them carefully. If you took your time I'll bet the neck ring could look like it was meant to be there from the start.

Wow, people actually like pup rings?

I hate them, and would love to be able to remove them from my RG's if only they didn't leave holes behind.

Re: RGA121VLF Pickup Trim Rings??

I've got a 1570 that I'd like to put PU rings on as well, just for the looks. I'm faced with the same issue: how to cut the metal trim ring from the neck PU so that it will fit around the base of the neck without ruining the cosmo finish?
Would love some suggestions!

I don't have a problem with the direct mounting. I'd just like to cover the gap around the pickups. The trim ring would have to be pretty wide and I don't think there is anything out there that would work.

Really, most people like direct mount pups.

RGA121VLF Pickup Trim Rings??

Has anyone thought about installing trim rings around the pickups to hide the gaps? The neck pickup would require some cutting and trimming of the ring to make it look good since the pickup is smack up against the neck. Still, I think trims rings would look great.
