hehe, well that's pretty much the opposite i do: as i get older, i tend to raise my minimum action height, so i wont bother myself making super perfect leveling and radius compounds kidding

With as many requests as I get for straight 1mm action, I started liking it a little lower. Now my old preferred 2/1,8 seems like medium action. I think I'm just getting old and weak ;/

The only guitar I've played with lower than that is the Shawn Lane Vigier, and I didn't like it one bit.

It's worth waiting 50 months for a Suhr, trust me!

Thanks guys, but knock off the love fest. That's why I don't have a thread in Vendors. It would be all gushy till some twerp chimed in "he was a jerk, he wouldn't take 3 hours to tell me all his secrets to buying in Japan so I could find a Destroyer I want", and then it would all go to Hell

Nuno, last fret. Never measure mid scale, that takes relief into account. Measure action and relief.

Re: The terrible wait for RG3550 NGD begins...

So far Rich has answered all of my questions very patiently, and I've asked a lot! I just placed an order with him for an RG1570 which he should receive next week. So, no complaints so far. Oh and nice guitar to the original poster! I do love the look of that model.

Re: The terrible wait for RG3550 NGD begins...

That is exactly why I currently feel like cheating as I am considering to buy a non-Ibanez guitar.... I only bought used and never new from Rich, but yea, no reason to look anywhere else for Ibbys.

Someone on the PGM forums started up **** about him and more than a few rallied to smack him down cause we knew it was bull. Turned out he wanted Rich to help find him a Destroyer. Rich doesn't deal in Destroyers so he said what anyone would, the 'bay or Japan. The guy got all huffy over this. It was good for a laugh but that shows what a good vendor-customer relationship Rich has with people that someone talks smack and multiple people jump up to defend him. I've bought 5 guitars and spent close to 17 grand this year alone with Rich and will only ever buy new Ibanez with him. <Rich is awesome rant mode stop>
too true,
he answered one of my questions, but still he did so politely, and willingly
none of this "you should know this, noob, lol" crap

on ya rich, when im 18 im sure our paypal paths shall meet!
