 There isn't really a difference other than the pickguard! However, it's not just a cosmetic difference, The extra couple of mm thickness of the pickguard alters your playing position slightly so with the 50 your hand sits marginally closer to the strings. But within a few minutes of playing either (even alternating between the two, you get used to the one your playing easily So just choose whichever one you like the look of

Help with determining which is best for the $$.. I’ve been debating between the RG1550 for the RG1570. Given that I’m left-handed it minimizes my options. Right-handed versions are no different then the Left-handed so if you use a right-handed version your opinions are just a valid.  Other then the obvious (Pick-guard) what are the major differences, and are they significant enough to sway your decision of which is the best value for the money?
