Re: ESP KH2?

It's a great guitar, it's comparable to a JEM7VWH in that it's a signature model superstrat.

If you want to pretend to be Steve Vai you need a JEM, if you want to be Kirk Hammett, buy the ESP

Re: ESP KH2?

Big thing for me was whether you prefer an OFR or an Edge/Edge Pro. Quality-wise is pretty much a dead heat. I second the going for an M-II as a "cheaper" alternative unless you're really a KH fan...

If you want an ESP with similar components but want to save a few $ check out the ESP M-II and Horizon models. All the features of the KH-2 but without the inflated "signature model" pricetag.

Rock on!

Basically the difference is KH -2 has the 2 volumes and the skull inlays. I think the neck may be a bit thinner also, it definately is on the Custom Shop ones.

Re: ESP KH2?

Like most ESPs, it's a gorgeous gorgeous guitar - just overpriced imho.

Re: ESP KH2?

I have not played an RG 1570.
I would buy it over most guitars though.
Just my opinion though, you really need to try it.

Re: ESP KH2?

Is it worth the price over RG1570?

Re: ESP KH2?

Plays brilliantly, the signature series is comparable to a high end RG, I have a review on it

I would love to buy one of these guitars!

ESP KH2?

Anyone played it? What is a comparable Ibanez?
