Great to honour someone like that. I disagree about lack of interest, that's a great looking guitar and as a part time bass player also i'd want to play it..

Honoring a long-time trusty endorser (talking bass)

probably no one is interested in the bass itself, but just say kudos to Ibanez for having honored one of their long-time (1990 on) most trusty endorsers: Gerard Veasley. that's the Gerard Veasley model:
