Interesting. What are the 1570 selling for these days? Thats the closest equivalent in spec.

We'd love to see it. Personally, I love the old 560s

Re: Value of RG560

Thanks again.
I am not selling it so 200-300 works for me

Besides the few small marks I mentioned earlier it looks and plays brand new.

I guess after I post a few more times I can show some pictures of it

Re: Value of RG560

I'd say Act of God is pretty spot-on. With used guitars, it's really all about rarity and condition. 560s are harder to find than 550s, which might help. Without pictures, all I can say is that the screwdriver marks are going to hurt you a bit, but $400+ is probable. I wouldn't think you'd get beyond $500 unless the guitar was in amazing shape.

Thanks!
Eleventy billion dollars sounds better than 400-500

I know what you mean, I was just curious about a range

Thanks again!

eleventy billion dollars

edit: Ok, in all seriousness a guitar is worth what someone would pay for it. The 550 seems to be the marquee 80's Ibanez RG series, but I actually prefer the 560 for the S1 in the neck position. I'd say anywhere from $400-500 given the condition and buyer motivation.

Value of RG560

Hi everyone, a new member here with a question

I have a 1990 RG560 that is an about 95 percent condition.
It is all stock and has the original Edge trem as well.
It is painted in the Grape Ice color and there are no chips on the horns or sides nor any cracks in the neck pocket or around the locking nut screws on the back of the neck.
The only problem are a few small dents around the trem where the previous owner used a screw driver to make the trem level during a complete string change. They do not look that bad at all.

The neck is perfectly straight and the frets have no wear at all.
It plays like butter and sounds fantastic.

I have the original case as well.

What would be the current value in case I find something else I can't live without

I am in the US by the way.

Thanks in advance!
