Re: Small Body Ibanez Semi-Hollow (non Artcore)?

Found that and checked them out, did some looking around.

Late 70s to early 80s, seem VERY rare, the few I could find for sale were in Gibson territory price wise, ouch. Was hoping I could pick on one up for what I could get out of my 120, which is a flat out kick ass guitar aside from it being too big for me personally. Doesn't look like its going to happen.

Its a shame Ibanez doesn't make something like this at the Fujigen Gakki factory anymore. The Chinese stuff is just too.......cheap feeling for me. Very occasionally I run across one with good fretwork, but that seems fairly rare.

I'd think there would be a demand for a medium priced small body semi hollow. Gibson seems to be doing pretty well with the 339/336/356 stuff. I bet if they had a Japanese made one in the $1k list price range, it would sell pretty well.

Thanks for the info! Can you suggest an online resource that could tell me the differences between the various models of that series? And do you know approximately what year range they were made in?

Small Body Ibanez Semi-Hollow (non Artcore)?

I heard that there was such a thing but no one has ever been able to tell me a model number. Put my AS120 up for sale because its too big for me. Can anyone tell me what the model number was if such a thing existed? I'm assuming its a smaller 335 shaped thing sort of like a Gibson 339. Not really interested in the chinese artcore stuff, hoping there was an artstar at some time that filled this role.

Thanks!
