Carbon Fiber Guitar? Good Idea?

As the title suggests, a carbon fiber guitar. Would it even work? There are cello's made from it and so would an acoustic or electric be possible?

On the plus side it would be very light but would the sound be compromised (if it had any)

What do you guys think of the idea?

I don't like their sound at all.

It's unbearable for my ears.

I SERIOUSLY doubt he's talking about acoustic guitars, and current Steinbergers are designed to sound like wooden instruments.

Parker uses carbon fibre for some of their guitars.

Carbon Fiber acoustics actually sound really good from the demos I've seen, no reason an electric wouldn't sound good too and I've seen quite a few people who have made them they look cool.

Peavey just bought the company Composite Acoustics http://www.caguitars.com/ they also used to make an electric called the blade.

For the record, no i am not even thinking about creating one. Only i saw a program regarding CF cello's and violin's and hence the idea popped into my head.
