Question about "Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar Black"

Ok, you said that the Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar Black was good for jazz but not great for 'stratty' sounds. does that mean that I wouldn't be able to play rock, i.e. Green Day, All American Rejects, and AC/DC? this is assuming that I have a good amp

Re: Question about "Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar Black"

Hey--sorry for the response delay:

This guitar can definitely cover all of the bands you have listed. What I was saying was that you probably won't get David Gilmour/Mark Knopfler sounds out of this guitar unless you change pickups and/or split coils. You can definitely get the rock tones out of this guitar though--no problem!

Hope this helps--Play it cuz you love it!!

You mean Fusion Jazz. When it comes to traditional Jazz, the full hollowbody archtop strung with flatwound 12's (or thicker) is the consensus when it comes to getting those thick woody Jazz tones...
