RGA220Z and EMGs

I buddy of mine is looking at buying a 220Z prestige but wants to fit the EMG 81/85 set... he's asked me how easy this is, and looking at the specs I cant work it out. Do the stock pups run on 9V? Has anyone done this retrofit, do EMGs fit the route? Are the pots 25K or its it a complete replacement of the electronics?

Thanks

If I recall, the stock pickups run on two AA batteries. However, I *think* a 9v would fit in the cavity. It might rattle around a bit so shove some foam in there for good measure.

Dunno about the pots, they're not my strong point.

Cool - thanks, I suspected they were the AA battery type.

i say put in blackouts. theyre like the 81/85 on steroids. cheaper too. but thats besides the point, im sure itll work fine. id put in new pots (and you need a 3 way switch no matter what you get) but thats just for the sake of adding new pots for better sound. its not like theyre expensive or anything
