Would some owners of RG1527's be kind enough to post some pics? I just want to get a good look at the color of them.

Since this photo, it now has Tone zone 7 and Air norton 7. Sweeeeet.

It's just a run of the mill Ibanez M100 case. :wink:

Now i'm not shure if this is of any use to you since it's the european rg 1527 wich is black instead of purple and with has an ultra neck....

Just added a pic of both necks, the first is de rg1527 ultra neck and the lower is a wizard7 from my rg7420.

lennartengel if it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg would I consider trading you a Cosmo blue for a black 1527. I have 2 of the purple/cosmic blue RG1527's. I wish there were more color options. LOL... always wanting what someone else has, or in this case another country.

yeah, i've also thought about importing one from the usa, than i would have a color i like better an also would have bought it from rich with the locking stud mod. But it kind of scares me to buy a guitar without playing it first, especially if it should be transported around half the globe...

the difference in sound between my two sevens is remarkable. Exactly the same specs, only two differences are the ultra neck on the 1527 (wich is absolutely bigger) and the edge pro vs lo trs. The 7420 sounds very warm and jazzy but lacks tightness and bite with gain. The 1527 has a very tight mid focused sound with plenty bite but when played clean it tends to be a little trebly (is that a proper english term? Damn should have payed more attention at school :D ).

Lennartangel, what is the extra knob above the volume knob on your european 1527?

That looks to me like where the vol knob used to be - hees moved it closer to the tone knob, and that is some kinda cap for the old hole

:P thumbs up for jammy! yeah i've got quit big hands and the volume pot is really in my way.
If you take a close look at my last picture you notice that on my rg 7420 there's a silver spot. That's also where the volume pot used to be, but al you see now is the shielding of the control cavity plate reflecting my camera's flashlight :P

I had a 1527 for a short time an thought it had the same neck profile as my universe. NEWER Universe that is. because the early '90's Uni's had thinner necks. I'll bet that 7420 has the same neck profile as a 7421 I had, which had the thinnest 7 string neck I've ever felt.

1527 is not that different from K7 right?
