Ibanez 2010 models

Bit of a inter-forum crosspost, but I like to share this with you too (for some models in the wrong section; too bad).

Already showed in magazine pic, but now we have a stock image, the RGD2127Z:
http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...D2127Z_ISH.jpg
The neck does look kinda long, so maybe the longer scale length rumors were true? No official specs yet...

Also posted elsewhere, but here without the voo-du logo: a stock image of the RGD2120Z:
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...D2120Z_CSM.jpg
The RGA7:
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...px-RGA7_BK.jpg
Also no official specs but it's an RGA, so a mahogany body could be a possibility. Bridge looks like the Gibraltar Standard. As for the pickups: Look like EMGs, but they aren't labelled and it isn't a prestige, so they could also be new Ibanez made active 'LoZ' pickups.

The RGA8:
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...px-RGA8_BK.jpg
Bridge looks like the Fixed Edge III-8 that was also on the RG2228. As for the pickups: Look like EMGs, but they aren't labelled and it isn't a Prestige, so they could also be new Ibanez made active 'LoZ' pickups.

The RG1451:
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...-RG1451_NC.jpg
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...RG1451_WHP.jpg
RG with Tight End bridge (like on the JEMFX). Prestige, but the pickups are still a mystery to me. Could be V7/S1/V8 but these are usually labelled.

The RGA72TQM
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...A72TQM_TGB.jpg
Like the RGA72QM, but with a tremolo; like the RGA42T, but with a quilted maple top. New 'wedge sharkfin' inlays (made that up).

More RG news:
The RGD320:
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...RGD320_MGS.jpg
http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...-RGD320_WH.jpg
Probably just a basic RG320 with the new body shape. Mystery pickups (Ibanez made?).

The RG1550MZ:
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...G1550MZ_BK.jpg
Like last year's RG1550M, but with an Edge Zero tremolo, and in a 'new' fabulous color. Looks like all RG1000 series models will get the Zero treatment after all (RG1550MZ, RG1470Z, RG1527Z...)

The RG4570:
http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...RG4570_HBK.jpg
Looks like last year's RG3620Z, but with a mid pickup. Probably still DiMarzios, could be any set but I dare to bet it's Air Norton/True Velvet/Tone Zone.

Re: Ibanez 2010 models

Very cool (non-Prestige) Saber news: All Sabers will get a 24-fret neck! All new 24-fret models are actually upgraded 2009 models returning more or less unchanged (save some inlays), except for the extra two frets. In a stroke of brilliance Ibanez decided to rename them by adding 100 to every model name, so S320 becomes S420, S470B becomes S570B, etc.. That also means two models names are going to be reused: S7420 and S570 (and this will get people pissed).

LOL! Yeah, with the Tight End and a pickguard. I was hoping for an RG1571 with a Gotoh. I guess there's always something that doesn't fit the 'perfect' new model we all want in our heads. :D
I'd like to try the new TE fixed bridge though...
And it looks like we're going back to black....
So far I like what I see, except for EP riding off into the sunset! Not a surprise that all sabers are getting 24 frets. It looks like Ibanez is streamlining production; not necessarily a bad thing.

Forgot about the non-RG/S-models (who wouldn't? :D):

Darkstones:
The DN600:
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...-DN600_SHM.jpg
I don't think there are words for describing the coolness of this one 8)

The DN520K:
http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/ib...DN520K_DTV.jpg
The 'purple' Darkstone shown at Loud Park.

And an ART:
The ART600:

Nothing to exciting about it I guess.

Thanks for sharing.

I wonder when Ibanez will stop ruining their guitars with the edge zero and edge III?

One thing is for sure... I won't buy a new one until they do.

What are your thoughts about the fact Ibanez is changing all S models to 24-fret models? Also part of the 'ruining' or something long overdue?

Re: Ibanez 2010 models

other then that, kudos for making a fixed bridge RG

Why is it so difficult to make a prestige with reverse headstock?
