Are you saying that you have a Jem neck plate on a seven string Universe? If so, that would be wildly incorrect for a guitar leaving the factory, but I suppose anything is possible. Some here may...

You don't "have to" do anything. There are a plethora of videos and instructional guidelines out there to where anyone can do it themselves.

I can’t speak on the techs. However, calling someone stupid for allegedly not doing a job properly that you yourself are unable to do speaks volumes.

The listing states "custom build" and "one of a kind", both of which are true. However, Ibanez had no part in any of it.

That is a customized 2003 Prestige neck on either a customized RG1570 body, or an aftermarket Jem style body.

I love how some people think that Ibanez’ s pricing model or line choices are “forcing” anyone to do anything. You are either “willing” to pay for one or you are not.

Serial is 1987, neck is standard scarf joint. I see nothing out of the ordinary and what would be expected here.

I’ve got an HP2 from the first run here in USA. The wood is from original Wolfgang inventory Peavey still had (as are the first 50 or do of the new European line). Great guitar and outstanding value.
