Re: FS: 2001 Ibanez JS1000WH

Sweet axe... white was always my favorite color for the JS1000's.
Wish I had the cash - but best of luck with the sale! At this price, I'm guessing it'll be gone shortly ;)

Re: Analog man

I'll throw my experience out there too if you need more 'nerve steadying' ;)
My first experience with Mike was ordering a Clone Chorus from him, with the 3-way toggle and a green LED. No problem,...

Anyway, I was just looking for what's fair for it... not...

Re: PGM lovers, which is the quintessential PGM?

I've only owned a PGM10th, 300, and 301.
I'd have to say that the 300 was the best... had a nice laquer on the neck and fretboard, not that satin stuff so everything is matte (a la 10th and 301)....

Jeez...
Seems like only yesterday that you and Rich (and me) were really going at this in another older thread. Man, I'm glad we weren't in the same room arguing- I think that was about coming to...

Re: Fender Tele FMT-HH experiences?

...forgot to add... the '72 Tele Deluxe reissue also sounded very sweet and played really well also if you were looking for a dual humbucker Fender. Try one out for sure!

Re: Fender Tele FMT-HH experiences?

I thought the neck felt terrible (bad fretjob, 'cheap' feel- you know what I mean) and I really really wanted to like it. The pickups sounded flat. I only tried 2, but it just didn't feel right and...

Re: Paul Gilbert album

Start with 'Paul the Young Dude'... it's like a greatest hits. I don't know if they're still packaging it with Gilbert Hotel- that would be a plus. Then you can sample a little bit from each album.

Funny you should mention that- I got nostalgic for that show a month ago and posted a promo for the 'new' DVD set here (http://mysite.verizon.net/bcoutu/knight_rider_post_300k.mov).

How about The...

Re: steve vai vs. paul gilbert

Gilbert by a narrow margin.
I like his songs better... I sing along with them, they're catchy and fun.

Re: What wah to get?

Yep, it sure can. Just a couple thoughts here:

I think you need to see how important the switchless / switch issue is for you. If you like the switchless and don't want to have to stomp the wah to...

Re: Eminence Wizards - anyone familiar? Looking for new speakers.

When I think smooth in reference to some Eminence speakers, I'd think of the Cannabis Rex or the Legend 125. Celestion G12H-30's (= Wizards) would be ok I think, or if you wanted something a little...

Re: Calling all guitar geeks! Who makes a guitar like this?

Take a look at the higher end Yamaha Pacificas. Great guitars.
I am PM-ing you a link to one in particular that I believe meets ALL your criteria. Let me know what you think.

Great looking Carvin, too. Love hardtails. Not too long ago I had a Carvin TL60 - great guitar, regardless of cost (affordable). I found...
