Re: Interesting and obscure models I've come across (Warning Pic Heavy)

This is the one EVH sent back that Darren still has, renecksd because the original went bad. He said he also swirled a couple for Kremer as EV was thinking about adding a run of them but Fender...

Re: Truss Rod disaster for Ibanez RG

It should be a dual action rod, turn it counterclockwise and it forces it into relief, turn it clockwise and it takes it into backbow.

Re: Covid, and you.

That's just freaky weird. Why? Because that youtube was posted today.

Tonight at 6:25 I got my email to book my appointment. I clicked the link, you enter your birthdate. By the code in the link...

Re: js nut holes

Rear mount nuts were used until the JS1200 in 2003 when they switched them all to top mount and Edge Pro.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: New Forum Software Coming to Jemsite

My question is, will my add banner now be visible on mobile? Because ever since you're last major change it has not, and since I'd wager the majority of users are on mobile devices I'm paying for a...

Re: Truss Rod disaster for Ibanez RG

Do you use a 4mm Allen to adjust it? If so, is the end moving or just the wrench? You'll have to look at the end to see if it's moving or not. If it's not it's obviously stripped and has to be...

Re: 22 converted 24 fret with 25.5 inch scale?

It would never intonate, you'll need a 25.5" scale 22 fret neck.

Re: Interesting and obscure models I've come across (Warning Pic Heavy)

I'm not sold until I see a demarcation line. And I'm certainly not going to buy one to try and find it. All I can say is there is not one on the inside of those cutaways which is where you will...

Re: Interesting and obscure models I've come across (Warning Pic Heavy)

Evidently your ass is a good place to pull things from, he said "yup". I called him an a-hole for never telling me 8O

Where the he!! did you hear that one?

Re: AZ Premium vs Prestige

Roasting maple is more about water content, that results in a darker color because it's, roasted. The Premium is still made out of Indo wood. 2 years from now the neck is going to have shrunk enough...

Re: Reissuing a rare classic

I thought Kevin had the rarest? 8O

Anything is possible, but you have to have a specific list of specs you're committed to, the easier you make it on them the less it costs. Not that any custom...

Re: Anyone have photos of jemfest

Brett has 10 or 11? I'm not sure even he can keep count. I only had 9 there, 6 of them I kept, I handled all of Freds, they went all over the place, I sold a few of Johns and IIRC he sold a few too....

Re: Interesting and obscure models I've come across (Warning Pic Heavy)

Lasner? Good luck getting hold of him, but that's all Japan. That's something one of the old suits in Japan would have to answer.

The inside horns say it wasn't dipped, there is a very distinctive...

Re: Reissuing a rare classic

Brandon? 8O

JC was 10, they lowered it to 6 when nobody would order 10 because of the high costs. Prestige is 12. Those are minimums, you can add as many to that as you wish. The way I was told is...

Re: Interesting and obscure models I've come across (Warning Pic Heavy)

Darren hasn't posted here in 5 years, and then 5 years before that. He only posts here when he has a reason to. But if you're saying Darren swirled a guitar for EVH he has never said a word about it,...

Re: Reissuing a rare classic

In all candor [nice to have old posters back, but there have always been rules], if you're going to do a Killerburst run it should be arranged on his FB group. If he wants to pay the money to sponsor...

Re: Interesting and obscure models I've come across (Warning Pic Heavy)

Everybody on this forum believes the bowling balls were the first.

I've never seen EVH with one, please, I'd love to see it.

Feathering has been done for book binders since the dark ages,...

Re: Interesting and obscure models I've come across (Warning Pic Heavy)

If you're going to make a bold statement that a swirl existed before the bowling ball Strat, accepted as the first swirled guitar, back it up. If they were doing something that different they would...

Re: Ibanez Floral FP77

I believe HUSA was 105, Chesbro was 25. Chesbro did not have their plats signed so the 20 I got from them I had Steve sign 20 plates for. No other country called them 15th Anniversary's so only US...

Re: Who's Doing the Best Swirls Today?

Just like swirls, opinions are the perspective of the individual. I much prefer the original Edge because it has better feel than the Lo Pro. The only thing different about the Lo Pro is it is lower...
