Rotti- you're right but the bridge placement is definitely different between 22 and 21 teles, i was just wondering if other things changed too, but i guess it fits the gap.

i couldn't find any specs on it on fenders site.
are you saying your light ash a 21 fret and the US one is like on american teles(22)?

why not just look up the measurements?.. the jem, UV and JPM necks are all 430mm radius so they're all exactly the same flatness

there may be other ways, but why should they have to be honest about that? who cares? if they don't want to tell you the name, they don't have to.. it's a good method..

i agree, but i'd also say, you can solder in BAD tone(or tone that is not to your personal tastes) on a guitar with natural 'good tone'... which would logically mean that on some guitars, changing...

a basswood body is a basswood body, there wouldn't be that much difference and knowing ibanez, they probably don't specifically choose better quality basswood for MIJ.

yeah you certainly don't have to get the whole board levelled, sounds like you just have a high fret point on the 2nd fret that needs knocking down slightly. look up the fret rocker thing on stewmac,...
